Prostate Cancer Charity

Prostate Cancer Charity

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer found in men in the UK. Each year nearly 35,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer and 10,000 men die from the disease - that's one man every hour.

Fighting prostate cancer on every front - through research, support, information and campaigning

The Prostate Cancer Charity is the largest and most comprehensive of the charities focused specifically on prostate cancer. The Charity was set up to provide hope for the future by funding research into the disease, and to provide practical support for today through our information and support services for the men, their families and carers, who are currently living with the disease. We do this by:

  • Funding research into the causes, prevention and treatment of prostate cancer, as well as researching the impact of living with the disease;
  • Providing a free and confidential Helpline manned by specialist prostate cancer nurses;
  • Producing accurate, up-to-date and award-winning information about prostate cancer, its treatment and associated lifestyle issues;
  • Raising awareness of the disease among the public and the media;
  • Offering peer support to people affected by the disease through our volunteer programme;
  • By educating healthcare professionals about the specific needs of men, and their families and carers, living with the disease;
  • And by campaigning on issues affecting people living with prostate cancer in the UK today.
