Breakthrough Breast Cancer is the UK's leading charity committed to fighting breast cancer through research, campaigning, and education and has established the UK's first dedicated breast cancer research centre, in partnership with the Institute of Cancer Research.

 

Breakthrough campaigns for policies that support breast cancer research and better services, as well as promoting breast cancer education and awareness amongst the general public, policy makers, health professionals, and the media. Our vision is "a future free from the fear of breast cancer"

 

User-involvement is placed at the heart of all of Breakthrough's core work and activities, with opportunities ranging from participating in consultations, to long-term collaborations with Breakthrough staff, scientists, politicians, clinicians and other stakeholders. Breakthrough is committed to providing high quality training to all its stakeholders to ensure that user-involvement is both accessible and empowering for all involved; we are also committed to demonstrating mutual impact of user-involvement through evaluation.
